Ruth Butler Architects has been appointed by Southsea Rowing Club to design a modern, sustainable boathouse and clubhouse on the beach front in Portsmouth.
Southsea Rowing Club was formed in 1860 by four amateur oarsmen and is one of the oldest clubs in Portsmouth. The club has a long, proud tradition of offering the thrill of coastal rowing from complete novices to experienced oarsmen and women. The club hosts one of the largest regattas on the south coast.
Ruth Butler Architects is working with the club team to establish a project vision and provide facilities to include improved training areas, clubhouse, changing and boat storage, to meet demand from existing and new members.
